Time matters.

How quickly can you get INR under control?

When it comes to warfarin reversal in patients with clinically significant or life-threatening bleeding, time matters.

Rapid anticoagulant reversal is often needed in cases of life-threatening bleeding, major trauma, cases of location-specific haemorrhage, or in preparation for immediate surgery.1

Register today and practice making clinical management decisions in line with the latest guidelines.

The Australasian Society of Thrombosis and Haemostatis (ASTH) updated their consensus guidelines on warfarin reversal in 2013, with new advice on preventing over-anticoagulation and warfarin reversal.2

The Time matters case studies have been developed in conjunction with Dr Jenny Curnow and Dr Kerry Gunn based on these guidelines.

Dr Jenny Curnow: Clinical lead in Thrombosis and Haemostasis and Director of the Westmead Haemophilia Treatment Centre, NSW and the Immediate Past President of the ASTH

Dr Kerry Gunn: Specialist Anaesthetist at Auckland City Hospital, NZ. Specialising in liver transplant and trauma anaesthesia and Chair of the Auckland Blood Transfusion Committee
